Plain-language summary

The live quote shows the exact USDC amount before you sign. A rejected request is not charged. A paid order that cannot be delivered enters the stated refund process.

1. Quotes

Render402 publishes a fixed per-second rate by resolution. The service validates a request and returns an exact order quote in USDC. The quote records its amount, network, asset, expiration, refund terms, and order ID. It may expire if not authorized in time.

Displayed fiat comparisons are informational. The signed x402 payment requirement and the corresponding order record control. Never sign a payment payload whose asset, amount, recipient, network, or resource differs from the quote you intended to pay.

2. Authorization and settlement

  1. You approve the exact USDC authorization in your wallet.
  2. PayAI verifies and submits the x402 payment on Base.
  3. Render402 reconciles the transaction reference to the existing order before generation begins.
  4. The same order ID remains the recovery handle through rendering, delivery, and any required refund.

Current facilitator gas is sponsored, but a wallet or third-party service may show its own fees. Blockchain transactions are public and generally irreversible once included.

3. When a refund is due

A settled order enters the refund path when Render402 or its H3 channel determines that the paid generation cannot be delivered, including a final generation failure or a paid order that cannot be safely reconstructed. A pending or unknown upstream operation is reconciled before another charge or refund is attempted.

The order snapshots the gross refund amount, any disclosed fixed refund fee, and the exact net amount to return. The refund goes to the original payer address. Network and facilitator confirmation time can vary.

4. When a refund is not automatic

A successfully generated and delivered video is normally final. Subjective dissatisfaction with style, motion, composition, or prompt interpretation does not by itself trigger an automatic refund. This does not limit rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.

Before payment, rejected content, invalid inputs, expired quotes, and canceled eligible orders are not generation charges. If your wallet shows a settlement but the order does not, do not submit a second payment; report the order and transaction references for reconciliation.

5. Payment disputes

Include the order ID, public payer address, transaction hash, and a short description. Do not send a private key, seed phrase, full wallet export, or unrelated personal information. Public Base transaction data cannot be altered or deleted by Render402.

Keep the original order ID. Idempotency and payment references are how we distinguish a delayed result from a duplicate charge.
